Free Maritime Info is a new site developed by the team at Unofficial Networks. With he advent of broadband aboard ships and tools being offered to the Maritime Professional every day we decided to make the web just a little bit smaller.

Our goal is simple: Offer the maritime industry the tools they need to make maritime related information easy to find.

Maritime Industry Search

Our Custom Search Engine is the latest in offerings from the search powerhouse Google. It uses the company’s powerful search database and algorithms with one twist… the results are filtered by gCaptain editors.

How does this work? Do a google search for the keyword “Mate” (just click HERE) now do the same search using our Maritime CSE (click HERE). Notice at google only one of the top 20 search results are maritime related but using our search engine ALL of the links are related.

Our Maritime CSE has one more trick up it’s sleeve. Using the same term click on the refinement labeled jobs. Now your are seeing search results only from maritime job sites! Click on the refinement tankers and you only get links pertaining to the oil transport segment of our industry.

Maritime Industry News

We have released the spiders on the best maritime news sources and have filtered the results to assure we display breaking news headlines from the maritime industry. Make this your first stop after the morning cup of Joe and we guarantee you’ll look like the smartest guy in the office.

Conference Calendar

We don’t believe in reinventing the wheel so we ask the kind folks at Maritime Trade Shows if we could borrow their conference calendar. Lucky for use they agreed. If you enjoy this feature be sure to visit their website today.

Free Banners and Toolbars

If you own a maritime related website or blog why not add offer our custom search engine to your visitors? It’s free and so is the toolbar we offer our guests.

We are sure you have heard there is no such thing as a free lunch. Well whomever told you that is smart indeed! While the basic tools will always be free you might be subject to the occasional banner add. We also plan on rolling out some Premium Tools as development continues…. so stay tuned!
